Ladies' Weekend of Wine and Food in Delaware

We're excited to be making our first trip to Delaware...and for what better reason than Food and Wine!? If you're anywhere near the Wilmington, DE area you will want to check this out!

A girls’ night out is fun, but a ladies’ weekend is a luxury worthy of bubbly...and a lot more dessert! Plan a getaway with your girlfriends to the MidAtlantic Wine + Food Festival. Make it a sleepover and stay in one of the Wilmington hotels offering special rates for the weekend.

Nibbling on chocolate is a treat; pair Neuchatel truffles with wine and you’ve got a celebration! Head out to a champagne and caviar tasting just blocks away. Wake up and enjoy a delicious brunch while tasting 80 wines from around the world. Round out your itinerary with a few more food- or wine-centered events, and you have a weekend with your girlfriends (or your mom, sisters, cousins) that no one will ever forget. Choose your favorite food and wine events taking place from March 6 through March 10, 2013. There’s something to satiate just about every curiosity or appetite at this year’s event, all while raising funds for nine Delaware arts organizations. Purchase tickets to these and more world-class events that stretch from the Brandywine Valley to Delaware’s Culinary Coast by going to midatlanticwineandfood.com.

About the MidAtlantic Wine + Food Festival:

The MidAtlantic Wine + Food Festival boasts dozens of events over four days in formats ranging from small, intimate dinners to gala black-tie events. The region’s premier food and wine event has grown with the support of scores of partners, restaurateurs, chefs, distributors, breweries, the Wine Guild, international winemakers and visiting chefs.

Tatiana and Gerret Copeland, proprietors of Bouchaine Vineyards in Napa Valley and long-time patrons of the arts, co-chair the 2013 festival with Ajit Mathew George, chairman of Strongpoint Atlantic.

All net proceeds from the 2013 festival will benefit nine Delaware arts organizations through the MidAtlantic Food + Wine Feast Charitable Fund at the Delaware Community Foundation. The 2013 beneficiaries are the Christina Cultural Arts Center, the Delaware Art Museum, the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts, the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, the Delaware Theatre Company, the Grand Opera House, the Kent County Fund for the Arts, OperaDelaware and the Rehoboth Beach Film Society.

  1. Awesome blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers?
I'm planning to start my own blog soon but I'm a little lost on everything.
Would you suggest starting with a free platform like Wordpress or go
for a paid option? There are so many options out
there that I'm completely confused .. Any tips? Cheers!
